In order for Sophia and Mike to stay as sanctuary horses at Draft Gratitude, they need to have a permanent paddock built that will be exclusive to them. The paddock requires safe and secure fencing that is appropriate for blind horses (~$2500) as well as a run-in structure for shelter (~$5300).
Sophia and Mike’s handicap may have ended their ability to work, but they still each deserve to live out the safe retirement they have earned. To have such parallel backgrounds and to end up as companions is remarkable.
